FALLS OF ROUGH, Ky. – A Grayson County man has died after being struck by a vehicle last week.

According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, 58-year-old Chris Tanner, a popular Falls of Rough business owner, died Tuesday night at University of Louisville Hospital.

Tanner owned Tanner Automotive on Falls of Rough Road and also operated a towing service.

More here.

As previously reported, Tanner was struck by a 2003 Honda Civic driven by 36-year-old Michael Biskup of Falls of Rough on the evening of Wednesday, Jan. 15. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office says Tanner and two other individuals were trying to get a truck with a camper up an icy driveway in the 11000 block of Falls of Rough Road.

Authorities say Tanner was standing in the southbound lane and had been waving a flashlight facing northbound and wearing a reflective safety vest.

Biskup stated he did not see Tanner, deputies say.

Authorities say Biskup’s vehicle struck Tanner, causing him to go into the windshield and on top of the vehicle before breaking the back glass.

No charges were immediately filed, however, toxicology results are pending at this time.
