UPDATE: BGPD says man shoots himself while “playing” with gun, report fabricated to police

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police are investigating a reported shooting on Stonehenge Avenue, according to Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward.

Ward says the victim is being transported to Nashville for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Ward says the report provided to the department was fabricated and that the man was allegedly “playing” with a gun and shot himself.

At least one person, Lacey Pedigo, 31, of Bowling Green, will be charged with falsely reporting an incident.
