UPDATE: Agencies continue search for Breathitt County child

JACKSON, Ky. – The search for a missing Breathitt County child has entered its third day.
On Friday, Aug. 8, the Kentucky State Police confirmed its ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 10-year-old Jayden Spicer, according to Kentucky State Police Post 13 public affairs officer Matt Gayheart.
So far, authorities say they have searched on foot, as well as using drones, sonar, canines and helicopters and have thoroughly searched all areas of priority.
Authorities have confirmed KSP will explore other areas in an effort to locate Spicer.
On Wednesday, Aug. 6, KSP says it received a call regarding a missing child in the Panbowl Branch Road area in the Jackson community around 9:23 a.m.
A preliminary investigation indicates Spicer is believed to have left his residence overnight Tuesday or early Wednesday morning, authorities say. Troopers say he was last seen around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Spicer is described as about 5 feet 1 inch tall with a slim build, blond hair and blue eyes. He was last wearing blue “Sonic the Hedgehog” pajama pants and a matching shirt.
