LEWISBURG, Ky. – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious crash Thursday morning.

According to a release, LCSO was notified at approximately 8:25 am of an accident with injuries near the 3200 block of Spa Road in Lewisburg.

Sheriff Stephen Stratton says the investigation shows that a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Betty D. Gibson, of Lewisburg, was traveling west on Spa Road.

Investigators believe Gibson drove over black ice in the roadway and lost control of her vehicle, according to the release.

Gibson’s vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Luella Hoover, of Lewisburg. Hoover was traveling east.
