Upcoming Toys for Tots drives; nearly 800 toys donated at Hand It to a Hero

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –  Today is Giving Tuesday, and if you’re wondering about a unique way you can give back this year, we have just the thing for you!

An upcoming toy drive is Toys for Tots at the Boyce Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m. at 10054 Woodburn Allen Springs Road (Highway 240).

Also on Sunday at the WKU Men’s basketball game, toys will be collected at the door beginning at 3 p.m. before the game starts at 4 p.m.

During this past weekend’s Hand It to a Hero, first responders gathered nearly 800 toys and $5,000 in monetary donations, according to Toys for Tots event coordinator Janel Doyle.
