Upcoming sensory and adapted swims available at Russell Sims Aquatic Center
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Opening day for the Russell Sims Aquatic Center is May 25, and it will implement a new experience for local families.
The Russell Sims Aquatic Center is working towards accommodating local disabled children and their families. The center will provide four days this upcoming summer on June 11 and 25, and July 9 and 23 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. reserved for those families.
This will include lifeguards and varying types of play equipment provided by their partnership program between Warren County Parks and Recreation and Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
The Russell Sims Aquatic Center says these designated swim times will offer a less stimulating environment before the pool opens to the public. This will provide inclusion and awareness for disabled children during those hours. Families will also be discounted to RSAC’s twilight rate at just $3 per person.
