Up, up and away at Groove and Glow Fest
GLASGOW, Ky.-Saturday afternoon may have been hot but sunny skies and a light breeze made for near perfect conditions for a hot air balloon festival.
Of course, that wasn’t all there was to do at the Groove and Glow Fest in Glasgow. From face painting to bounce houses and food trucks to live music, you could easily find a way to fill your afternoon at the Glasgow Municipal Airport.
There were even courtesy shuttles to make it easier to get from one end of the field to the other.
Admission was free and Entertain Glasgow’s Co-Chair April Russell explained it’s all part of making Glasgow a livelier place to be. She said the Groove and Glow Fest is the fifth event this year for the city and providing free entertainment for local residents is the goal of Entertain Glasgow.
After sunset, there was a balloon glow and country music artists Sean Stimely and Adam Doleac finished out the evening with their performances.
