Unsolved: Kentucky woman still missing 9 years later
KNOTT CO., Ky.- We’re learning more about a Kentucky woman who has been missing for nearly a decade. And her family is still searching for answers on her whereabouts. Natasha Fugate-Jones was last seen in Fisty, Kentucky, on May 7, 2015.
Law enforcement reports say she had recently left an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility in Harlan and returned to her grandmother’s home in Fisty, where her two young sons resided.
On the morning of her disappearance, Natasha packed her belongings and was picked up by a female friend. Before leaving, she placed a note under her son’s pillow, explaining that she planned to return in two or three days.
Later that day, Fugate-Jones and her friend encountered a male acquaintance. According to his account, she left with him, and they eventually ended up at a reclaimed strip mine.
While there, the man says Fugate-Jones ran into the nearby woods and never returned. She has not been seen or heard from since. If you have any information, you can call the Kentucky State Police at (606) 435-6069.
