Units respond to brush fire in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Firefighters responded to a brush fire Monday morning in Warren County.

According to Richardsville Fire Department chief Brian Lee, firefighters received a call at about 11:20 a.m. for a controlled burn that had gotten out of control in the 2000 block of Richardsville Road.

Lee says units arrived on scene as around 1 acre burned with an active fire.

Richardsville units were assisted by the Barren River Volunteer Fire Department.

Lee reminds the community that Kentucky is under spring burn season with restrictions on when to burn through April 30.
