Unconventional event raises money for South Central Kentucky Kids on the Block

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hundreds of adults went on an Easter egg hunt at the National Corvette Museum this weekend to raise money for a local charity.

The Grown-up Easter Egg Hunt is a fundraiser that benefits Kids on the Block, an organization that uses puppets to help kids deal with issues of abuse and bullying.

Plastic eggs were filled with candy, coupons and other fun prizes.

The Vice-Chair of Kids on the block says the programs are funded through donations.

“It’s really important that we’re able to bring these programs to the kids in schools. Each program is $220 to put on. So, they’re free to the schools, they’re free to the children, so we have to have these funds to bring these wonderful programs to the schools, and get out to the kids,” said Kayla Fugate, Vice Chair of South Central Kentucky Kids on the Block.
