LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A University of Kentucky football player appeared in court Wednesday regarding a protective order filed against him two weeks ago.

WKYT reports the petition against UK running back Jamarion Wilcox was filed by the victim on Aug. 20.

In it, the victim describes graphic details of Wilcox getting into bed with her while she was asleep and touching her inappropriately.

Statements in the document claim Wilcox was in her apartment during this time to visit her roommate.

The victim claims she told Wilcox he was in the wrong room but says he laughed and tried touching her again.

According to the protective order, the victim says she left the room to tell her roommate, however, Wilcox refused to leave, leading police to escort him out of the apartment.

UK football coach Mark Stoops was asked Monday about why Wilcox didn’t play in Saturday’s game.

Stoops said, “The status has not changed, so I really can not comment on that anymore.”

Stoops confirmed the sophomore was suspended for violating a team rule.

The situation remains under investigation.
