Tyson Foods of Bowling Green donates 40,000 pounds of protein to local families
Bowling Green, KY. – Over the weekend, Tyson Foods of Bowling Green donated 40,000 pounds of protein.
That number is equivalent to 160,000 servings for 2,000 families.
This event took place at the WKU Innovation Campus and WKU football players helped to put boxes in family’s cars.
Tyson Foods will open a 400,000 square foot bacon production facility later this year in Bowling Green’s Kentucky Transpark.
When asked about the donation event Human Resources Manager Kristen Martin stated, “We are so excited to be introducing ourselves to the city of Bowling Green through a food donation drive.”
