Two women accused of stealing items from home in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Two women are behind bars in Warren County after being accused of stealing items from a home that’s being used for storage.

Mary Evans, 70, and Kelly Taylor, 53, are each charged with second-degree burglary and theft from a building.

According to an arrest citation, the women were seen entering the home in the 2100 block of Vance Lane and later walking out with a vase and pictures.

A Warren County sheriff’s deputy responded to the scene and questioned both women, who, according to the citation, admitted they go into abandoned homes and take things they think are nice.

In addition to the theft and burglary charges, Evans was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, after deputies say they located Gabapentin and Oxycodone in her purse.

Both are lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
