Two winning Powerball tickets sold in Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Two winning Powerball tickets totaling $100,000 have been sold in Kentucky.

According to the Kentucky Lottery, the tickets are from the drawing that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 13.

The two winning tickets were purchased at the following Kentucky Lottery retailers, according to lottery officials:

  • A $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at Five Star, 207 W. John Rowan Boulevard in Bardstown.
  • A $50,000 winning ticket was purchased at Kroger at 568 Bypass Road in Brandenburg.

Saturday night’s winning numbers were one, 28, 31, 57, 58 and a Powerball of 16, lottery officials say.

The Kentucky Lottery says it advises winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a secure location.

The winners of these tickets must claim their prizes at lottery headquarters at 1011 W. Main St. in Louisville. Winners have 180 days to claim.

Monday night’s Powerball® jackpot is currently estimated at $1.1 billion, making it the 6th largest jackpot to date. It will be the 43rd in the current jackpot run, setting a game record for most consecutive drawings in a single jackpot cycle. The drawing will take place at 11 p.m. EST.
