Two men indicted on burglary charges in Butler County
GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. – Two men are facing several charges, including burglary and engaging in organized crime.
According to WNKY News 40 media partner K105, 38-year-old Joseph W. Thomas was arrested on an indictment warrant out of Butler County charging him with two counts of second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, two counts of theft by unlawful taking (more than $1,000, less than $10,000), two counts of receiving stolen property (more than $1,000, less than $10,000), engaging in organized crime, two counts of first-degree criminal trespass and persistent felony offender.

An indictment resulted after Thomas, along with 27-year-old Nikolas Montgomery of Grayson County, were arrested in Butler County in May. K105 reports both individuals were accused of a burglary on a property off of McKendree Chapel Road, where a theft occurred involving jewelry, a go-cart and other items.
Montgomery is also charged with multiple offenses, including engaging in organized crime, theft by unlawful taking or disposition all others (more than $1,000, less than $10,000), receiving stolen property (more than $1,000, less than $10,000), second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief.
In addition, a four-wheeler was stolen that same day from the 1700 block of Al Embry Road.
Authorities identified the license plate of the truck hauling the four-wheeler, which led them to an address on Bryant Hollow Road. While there, authorities located Montgomery and Thomas, along with the missing items.
Montgomery remains at the Grayson County Detention Center, while Thomas remains at the Butler County Jail. Both are being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
