2 local groups stuck in Israel amid conflict

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two local church groups are stuck in Israel amid a renewed and intense conflict between Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip and Israeli Defense Forces. The two groups were on a pilgrimage to holy sites near Jerusalem when the conflict erupted on Saturday.

News 40 reached out to Broadway United Methodist Church for comment and was told that although they are not able to discuss specifics at this time, they could say that the group is safe and that they have a plan together to exit the Israel and return home.

River Lake Church in Glasgow also has a group that is stuck in Israel.
