Two local counties become 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries

Edmonton, Ky-Two local counties recently passed resolutions supporting citizen’s rights to own guns.

On Monday, the Edmonson county fiscal court passed a resolution opposing any unconstitutional attempt to take away firearms from its citizens.

And according to Metcalfe County Judge-Executive Harold Stilts, lawmakers in that county passed a resolution that supports the second and fourteenth amendments.

Stilts said a first reading was opposed by some members of the public attending the meeting, so the wording was revised and that second version passed. While the resolution supports the right to bear arms, the county ordinance does not override state or federal laws and regulations.
