Two injured in Sunday stabbings in Hart County

UPDATE: MAN ARRESTED IN STABBINGS

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – Around 11 p.m. Sunday, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence on Red Buck Estes Road for reports of a stabbing.

Two people were sent on medical helicopters to area hospitals. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries, Sheriff Jeff Wilson.

One person is in custody charged with first-degree assault, Wilson said.

Names of the injured have not been released.

Mitchell Rice, 58, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree assault. He was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
