Two injured in Glasgow crash, flown for treatment

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department investigated a crash on Sunday.

The department responded to a call to an injury accident at the intersection of North Jackson Highway and River Lake Church Parking Lot.

Police say a 2008 Honda Civic, operated by Faye Groce, attempted a turn from River Lake Church Parking Lot onto North Jackson Highway. Groce pulled into the path of a 2016 Ford Escape. The vehicle was operated by Macayla Jernigan.

Groce and Jernigan were transported to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. They were later transported by Air Evac and Air Methods.

Two juveniles in the vehicle operated by Jernigan were not injured in the crash.

The accident was investigated by Lt. Steven Fields, assisted by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Fire Department.
