2 Barren County High School students qualify for NASP Championship

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Kathrynn Dooley and Dylan Black from Barren County High School are eligible for the National Archery in School Program World Open Championship.
The championship brings all skilled student archers from around the world together on one stage. Students must compete locally, state-wide and nationally with competent individual scores for NASP.
Kathrynn Dooley scored 283/300 and ranked 185 out of 2400 of high school girls. Dylan Black scored a career high 290/300, and is placed 71 out of 2,500 of high school boys nationally.
District communications officer Heather Gardner says, “He is a top performer on the archery team and has been involved with the sport since the 4th grade.”
Dylan will represent Barren Beyond the Bell, Barren County Archery, and Barren County High School on June 7th in Daytona, Florida. The event will begin at 11 a.m.
