Two arrested for suspected drug crimes while served separate warrant

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Two people in Edmonson County are charged with several drug crimes and one was served a warrant for charges involving the assault of an officer.

Edmonson County Sheriff’s Deputies went to a home on Chalybeate School Road to serve an active indictment warrant on Keith Graham, 56.

Heather J. Kerr, 37, refused to open the door when officers arrived. Eventually, officers entered the home and commanded Graham to come out with his hands up, which he did not comply with.

Deputies found Graham hiding in a closet. Suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also found lying in plain view.

Both Kerr and Graham were placed under arrest.

Graham was served an active indictment warrant for charges of terroristic threatening, fleeing police, resisting arrest, and assault of a police or probation officer. He is separately charged with possession of a controlled substance and marijuana.

Kerr is charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Both were held in the Hart County Jail.
