Two arrested after deputies receive drug tip
After acting on a drug tip, Warren County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people Monday night on cocaine possession charges.
Deputies received a tip about a probationer, Jeffrey Arnold, living in a “crack house,” according to Warren Circuit Court records.
When they arrived at 308 E. 12th St., deputies initially encountered Ambroshia Fontae Halcomb, 35, who answered the door. Billy Lightfoot, 55, was inside the home on a couch.
A probation and parole officer arrived on the scene and met with Arnold who singed a consent form for the officer to search his residence. The search resulted in law enforcement finding multiple items associated with illegal drug use, according to court records.
Halcomb claimed ownership of the items, according to her arrest citation.
Lightfoot told deputies he had a crack pipe in his shoe, records show.
Halcomb and Lightfoot were charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance cocaine first offense, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail without bond.
Arnold was not charged with any crime at the scene.
