TVA, Glasgow EPB award $7,000 for Glasgow addiction recovery center

GLASGOW, Ky. – A newly-founded addiction recovery center in Glasgow is benefitting from $7,000 from the Tennessee Valley Authority and the Glasgow EPB.
Community Partners for Recovery will serve those in long-term addiction recovery, according to Glasgow EPB.
“We are so excited about our recovery community center that will be open next month. We believe that we will be able to make a big impact for those suffering from substance abuse disorder, which is a chronic disease. Our mission is to help promote lifelong recovery and help give life back to the community.” said Libby Short, co-founder of Community Partners for Recovery.
The group will be opening the recovery community center at 112-B Ensminger Drive in May.
Dan Pratt, senior vice president of customer and community relations for TVA, shared the reason to provide funding to Community Partners for Recovery.
Pratt stated the program “continues to help amplify vital work being done by nonprofit organizations” to impact communities in the TVA service region.
