TVA dedicates expansion of Paradise Combustion Turbine Plant

DRAKESBORO, Ky. – The Tennessee Valley Authority is celebrating the dedication of new state of the art natural gas units at the Paradise Combustion Turbine Plant in Drakesboro, Kentucky.

These additional units help power more than 400,000 homes.

Construction on these units also had a positive economic impact on the Commonwealth, creating over 375 new jobs.

Several people were in attendance at Wednesday’s dedication ceremony and say expansion will have an incredible impact on several communities, including here in south-central Kentucky.

The TVA plans to invest $15 billion over the next three years to build additional generation units for the region.
