Tuesday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

Tuesday, Governor Andy Beshear announces another high number of positive COVID-19 cases. There are 1,054 new cases here in Kentucky. The commonwealth has had 74,194 total cases of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. 12,751 have recovered.

Four new deaths were also reported today bringing the statewide total to 1,218.

According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 7,605 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 6,455 have recovered.

There are no new deaths reported in any of these counties.

– LOGAN COUNTY: 614 (+20)

– BUTLER COUNTY:371 (+2)

– ALLEN COUNTY: 416 (+13)

– SIMPSON COUNTY: 303 (+3)

– HART COUNTY: 210 (+6)

– EDMONSON COUNTY: 164 (+2)

– METCALFE COUNTY:139
