Tuesday Update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

Governor Beshear resumed with a normal press conference Tuesday to provide an update on the battle against the coronavirus here in the bluegrass. 

An additional 273 cases were reported by the governor, bringing the statewide total to 53,319.

One new death was reported, bringing the statewide total number of deaths to 997.

Here’s a look at the total number of cases broken down by counties:

–WARREN COUNTY: 3,650

– BARREN COUNTY: 530

– LOGAN COUNTY: 471

– BUTLER COUNTY:  328

– ALLEN COUNTY: 261

– SIMPSON COUNTY: 243

– HART COUNTY: 166

– EDMONSON COUNTY: 134

– METCALFE COUNTY: 91
