Trooper Teddy program makes a stop at UK Kentucky Children’s Hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. – If you missed National Teddy Bear Day on Tuesday, it’s not too late to hear how Kentucky state troopers chose to spend that day bringing joy to child hospital patients.
The Kentucky State Police responded to a different kind of call this week.
At UK Kentucky Children’s Hospital, troopers brought the joy of a Trooper Teddy to hospital patients. The Trooper Teddy program offers a sense of comfort to children in times of crisis by giving them a bear from a Kentucky state trooper.
The agency says this can bring a feeling of safety when it’s needed most.
The program doesn’t end there. You can help give your own gift of a Trooper Teddy by purchasing one, with proceeds going directly toward funding the program to help more children receive a bear.
