TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital recognized for cardiac care

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is being recognized for its care for cardiac patients.

According to a release Wednesday by TriStar Greenview, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. In addition, it has been honored with the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check Mark for Chest Pain Certification.

“Earning this certification reflects TriStar Greenview’s commitment to fast, coordinated, high-quality cardiac care,” said Mike Sherrod, chief executive officer at TriStar Greenview. “This is truly raising the bar for how we serve our community when every second counts.”

To earn this honor, the hospital was reviewed in August, the release says.

During this time, Joint Commission learned about its compliance with certification standards and clinical processes, patient safety and improvement.

“Chest Pain Certification recognizes healthcare organizations committed to striving for excellence and fostering continuous improvement in patient safety and quality of care,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, The Joint Commission.
