TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital denied request for additional ambulance service
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- It appears TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green won’t be getting an ambulance service anytime soon.
On Thursday, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services ruled against Greenview’s Certificate of Need application to establish an additional ambulance service in Warren County.
Med Center Health has been fighting against the additional service, since it is the sole ambulance operator in the county.
According to a statement from Med Center Health, Greenview’s application did not meet the legal requirements of current Certificate of Need regulations and was appropriately rejected.
Greenview released a statement to WNKY stating it remains committed to providing residents with a choice in emergency services and hopes to continue to work with all stakeholders to quickly address the vital need.
