Tri-Five Nationals roll in at Beech Bend Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hundreds of Chevrolets from 1955 through 1957 are taking over Beech Bend Park for the Tri-Five Nationals meet all weekend.

The cars range from recreations of famous race and drag cars, to completely original well-kept vehicles that are still in use by their owners, with some travelling from as far away as California.

Steve Richardson of De Soto, Missouri brough his Bel Air soft top in its unique grey and coral paint to enjoy the weekend with friends at a shop he used to work at in Hillsboro, Missouri.

“We’ve been coming here to the tri five nationals since their inception, and we always bring a series of cars down. Usually there’ll be 25 or 30 cars from the shop stick Chevy shed. It’s amazing to meet up with. There’ll be 2500 plus cars here. All 55, 56 or 57 Chevys being there. Passenger cars, trucks, Corvettes. There’ll be panel trucks, just an assortment of cars. And for all of us to come together, share in the love that we have for these cars.” Richardson said.

You can experience the event for yourself through Aug. 12. For more information, visit the event’s Facebook page.
