Trees of Christmas come to the Eloise B. Houchens Center

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A local Bowling Green non-profit organization is getting in the spirit of the holidays early.

For the 41st year in a row, the Eloise B. Houchens center is holding what is known as the Trees of Christmas event.

Christmas trees designed by local organizations like Kids on the Block and CASA of South-Central Kentucky are placed all over the center, in every room.

The event is also an opportunity for the community to donate children’s hats, gloves, scarves and other items needed for the cold weather.

Those involved in the organization say it’s a great feeling to help local children.

“I’m just kind of in awe every time I walk in here now. It’s so pretty, it’s bright, it looks great,” said President of the Eloise B. Houchens center board Carol Flora-Collins

The Trees of Christmas will be open each day until December 22. The center is located 1115 Adams Street.
