Traffic stop results in arrest

BOWLING GREEN – A Bowling Green man is behind bars on several drug charges following a traffic stop.

According to his arrest citation, officers pulled over Emanuel Baker, 26, on Emmett Avenue for what they described as extremely dark window tint.

A police K9 officer immediately alerted to the rear driver’s side door.

Inside the car officers discovered a marijuana cigarette, THC oil, a large “wad” of marijuana and a stolen .357 revolver out of Bowling Green, according to the arrest citation.

Police said Baker resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground to be detained and once inside the jail, clear pills with a white powdery substance were found in his pants pocket, according to the citation.

Baker is charged with several crimes including possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
