Traffic stop leads to arrest of Scottsville man on drug charges

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop.

According to a release, the Scottsville Police Department located a vehicle making “suspicious driving maneuvers” on Monday evening.

Officers say Cory M. Carter, 20, of Scottsville, is the driver.

The release states that officers requested an EMS evaluation at the scene. Carter was transported for further treatment.

During the investigation, officers say Carter used suspected methamphetamine before he was pulled over.

Officers say Carter possessed suspected drug paraphernalia.

Carter was later arrested and lodged at the Allen County Jail.

Carter is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substance 1st degree – 2nd offense – methamphetamine, prescription not in proper container, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
