Traffic stop leads to arrest

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow woman is facing multiple criminal charges following a traffic stop.

During a traffic stop Tuesday in Glasgow, an officer said he noticed the driver attempting to conceal something on herself, according to a release from the Glasgow Police Department.

An officer said he found suspected marijuana, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia on the woman, according to the release.

Police arrested Linda G. Smith, 39, and charged her with first-degree possession of a controlled substance first offense methamphetamine, tamping with physical evidence, first-degree promoting contraband, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She was arraigned in Barren District Court where her bond was set at $2,500.
