GLASGOW, Ky. – A woman is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop in Glasgow on Monday.

According to a uniform citation, the Glasgow Police Department observed a white SUV traveling north on SL Rogers Wells Boulevard.

Police say they confirmed the registered owner of the vehicle, Brittany N. Lacy, 32, of Horse Cave, was driving on a suspended license.

During a traffic stop, police say they learned two children were in the vehicle. Authorities say the vehicle had the odor of marijuana coming from it.

Police say upon a vehicle search, they located bags of suspected methamphetamine. Lacy stated she had allowed another person to use the vehicle earlier that day and denied ownership of the substance, the citation says.

Police say they noted live maggot larvae in the floorboard of the vehicle where the children were located.

Lacy was arrested and is charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operators license, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine) and endangering the welfare of a minor.

According to police, the vehicle and children were later released to the custody of a family member.
