Traffic stop leads to seizure of over 29 grams of meth
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Scottsville woman faces a drug trafficking charge following a traffic stop.
The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force says detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Chontel Marie Powell, 44 of Scottsville, on Tuesday.
Detectives say an investigation of Powell’s vehicle uncovered 29.1 grams of methamphetamine.
Powell was arrested and is lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.
Powell is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), persistent felony offender, and operating on a suspended license.
