Track events continue throughout the week at the SOKY Fair.
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- At the SOKY fair you can expect some amazing rides and delicious food.
Another great event is the track events.
If you want to have a good time watching old decked-out cars race getting muddy and crazy, that is the place to be.
Every year Blue-Collar Boys Promotions puts on the daily track events at the fair.
One of the events, the bump n’ run race, consists of an oval track and two big speed bumps.
The payout was pretty big for the first-place winner, as they took home an eight-hundred-dollar prize.
James Bowles, the Blue-Collar Boys Promotions promoter, said, “There’s kids that come up all the time and are like, ‘I love what just happened’. That to me is more than anything you take away from here. It’s seeing that a little kid with a smile on his face and know that you touched him. He’ll always remember that, and ten years from now he might be the next guy out here racing.”
If you missed the bump n’ run, there will be more opportunities throughout the remainder of the fair. The demolition derby competitions will begin Friday, July 29th through Saturday, July 30th at 7:30p.m.
