Toys for Tots encourages early shopping due to inflation
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Being proactive this summer could not only help your family but also help your pockets once the holiday season starts.
With inflation on the rise, this is not only affecting prices now when it comes to Christmas, it can also have a major impact on the gifts you give during the holiday season.
We spoke with the Toys for Tots coordinator Janel Doyle and discovered how this inflation could shift their focus.
Doyle tells us, “Parents should focus on housing, utilities, the groceries, you know, and if, well, we know inflation is going to make a difference in the giving. It always does every year. I encourage everyone to go out and start shopping. There’s some great deals at local stores on toys right now.”
Toys for Tots and many other helpful nonprofit resources want to encourage everyone to be proactive instead of reactive and start shopping sooner rather than later.
