Tops Outlast Blazers Picking Up Massive Road Win
The Tops traveled to Birmingham tonight for a huge Conference USA matchup with UAB.
WKU entered the game with a 9-6 record and looking to string together back-to-back wins in C-USA play.
The Tops were led by Dayvion McKnight as he tallied 27 points. Jordan Rawls contributed huge minutes off the bench, posting 16 crucial points.
UAB was led by Jordan Walker with 28 points.
WKU shot 47.5% from the field, 50% from three-point range, and 73.7% from the free throw line as a team.
Dontaie Allen hit one of the biggest shots of the season with less than 30 seconds remaining, breaking a 73-73 tie, giving the Tops a three-point lead.
The team was without Head Coach Rick Stansbury again, tonight.
WKU moves to 10-6 overall, 2-3 in conference play.
The team will be back in action on Saturday, inside of Diddle Arena, hosting FIU.
