Tony Lindsey’s lifetime of community connection through music

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Tony Lindsey’s musical journey began his freshman year of high school after auditioning for a friend’s band—and that one moment changed the course of his life.

What started as jam sessions quickly turned into songwriting, singing, and a career that would span more than 25 years.

Lindsey didn’t just grow as an artist—he became a pillar in his community, using music as a way to give back.

“What can we do for the community that would be beneficial? And of course, music is our first love,” he recalls. His passion for music also connected him to the rich musical legacy of Southern Kentucky, home to icons like Billy Vaughn, The Hilltoppers, Sam Bush, and The Kentucky Headhunters.

Performances—big and small—have kept Lindsey inspired, including a bucket-list moment meeting Paul McCartney.

“One performance is worth 10 rehearsals,” he advises young artists. Offstage, Lindsey continues giving back through events like the Jambodian Holiday Bash and the Son Rhea Foundation, staying grounded in friendship, gratitude, and the power of music to unite.
