Todd County man charged after alleged altercation

GUTHRIE, Ky. – A Todd County man is facing charges after a reported altercation in a Dollar General parking lot.
The Guthrie Police Department says an officer was dispatched Monday just after 7 p.m. to a Dollar General on West Park Street in Guthrie regarding a fight taking place in the parking lot.
Police say upon arrival, both male subjects were not on scene.
Officer say they were then dispatched to a nearby residence, where a caller stated one of the males had gone to his home and tried to run him over with a white truck.
Police say staff at the Dollar General stated both male subjects had been disorderly, stating that 27-year-old Matthew Lyon of Elkton had fled the scene in a white truck.
Officers say when they located Lyon, he showed signs of intoxication.
Lyon was arrested and transported to the Todd County Jail, where he remains on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication in a public place, first and second offense, fourth-degree assault (no visible injury), first-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense, and driving on a DUI-suspended license, first offense.
