Tim Tebow helps Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky “Raise the Roof” for new Buddy House

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky brought a special guest to Bowling Green to help raise the roof for a new Buddy House.

You may know him as a Heisman Trophy winner with the University of Florida, or a quarterback with teams like the Denver Broncos or New England Patriots, but Tim Tebow took on a new title on Thursday night: Buddy House advocate.

Tebow made his way to Bowling Green to help DSSKY raise funds for a new Buddy House, which president Eric Leach says will be located on Great Escape Court near the WKU Intramural fields.

Tebow says once he heard of this opportunity after Leach sent him a blind email, he had to stop by.

“I also love why we’re here is so that there can be another facility that is built where there could be so much faith, hope and love, joy and happiness that is experienced,” he says.

A live auction was also held, and DSSKY was able to show off renderings for the new Buddy House, which will allow for them to have new classrooms for the Buddies.
