FRANKLIN, Ky. – Thursday morning at Franklin-Simpson High School, Tiffany Harrigan signed the dotted line to continue her athletic career at the collegiate level.

The senior spent just one year dressed in blue and white, but in that time, she helped lead Franklin-Simpson girls basketball to a 13th district title, 4th region title and an elite eight appearance in the state tournament.

Harrigan was not able to suit up for the Lady Cats until halfway through the season but made an immediate impact for her team once she hit court.

Through 18 games, she averaged 16.4 points and held the 3rd best free throw percentage in the state.

While it wasn’t the senior year she may have originally envisioned, she wouldn’t change a thing about it.

“ I wouldn’t do anything different this year,” Harrigan said. “I feel like, especially with this team, we grew a connection so fast. These girls were playing with each other before, but they weren’t playing at that level yet. But I think we made history, and this is a year to remember for us.”

After that year to remember, Harrigan now looks forward to her college career, signing to take her talents to Pensacola State College.

Harrigan said she was looking for a place like home and instantly felt that when visiting the Lady Pirates.

But most importantly, she feels grateful for being able to achieve a longtime dream of playing college ball.

“ It’s a blessing that I’m able to play at that next level because there’s people that dream of doing that themselves, “Harrigan said. “I’m just taking it all in and being happy and excited for it.”
