Thursday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky
Thursday, Governor Andy Beshear announces another high number of positive COVID-19 cases. 884 new cases were announced. That number means the commonwealth has had 77,455 total cases of the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. 13,113 have recovered.
11 new deaths were also reported Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 1,234.
According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 7,723 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 6,553 have recovered.
Eight new deaths were reported in these counties Thursday. One person in Allen county, one person in Logan county and six people in Warren county died due to the virus.

– HART COUNTY: 217 (+2)
– EDMONSON COUNTY: 166 (+1)
– METCALFE COUNTY:145 (+3)
