Thursday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Cases of the coronavirus in south central Kentucky continue to rise.

As of Thursday evening, there are 4,562 cases in the area covered by the Barren River District Health Department and Allen County.

In all of the counties combined 94 people have died from the virus and 3,770 individuals have fully recovered.

Total cases since Wednesday:

Warren County: 2,887 (+11)

Logan County: 385 (+3)

Barren County: 450 (+3)

Butler County: 314 (+1)

Allen County: 236

Simpson County: 189 (+2)

Hart County: 129 (+1)

Edmonson County: 127

Metcalfe County: 81 (+1)

As of Thursday evening, 700 new cases were reported for the entire state of Kentucky. That brings the total number of cases to 41,626. Governor Andy Beshear announced that 14 more Kentuckians died due to the virus. 9,388 have recovered.
