Thursday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

Governor Beshear announced a high number of new positive cases Thursday. There are 2,318 new positive cases, bringing the states total now to 115,277.

The state’s positivity rate is 6.5%.

20 more kentuckians have died from the virus Thursday, that brings the total number of lives lost in Kentucky to 1,534.

The Barren River District Health Department reports that Warren county had an additional 79 cases Thursday. There have now been 10,622 total cases in the area.

In all of these counties combined, 153 people have died from the virus and over 8,000 have fully recovered.

– HART COUNTY: 558 (+20)

– EDMONSON COUNTY: 230 (+9)

– METCALFE COUNTY:251 (+32)
