Three Purples sign Letters of Intent with Kentucky Universities

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Today at Bowling Green High School, three Purples signed their letters of intent with three separate Kentucky Universities.

BG basketball’s Turner Buttrey committed to Eastern Kentucky University his decision to become a colonel was pushed by his hard work over the years

“Just to see like somebody like me who’s under under six foot not very athletic do it a lot of people told me that I can never do and you know, I means a lot to me,” Buttery said.

For swimmer Phillip Khenner, UK was always his goal. Today, it became a reality.

“It’s always been Kentucky ever since I was a kid,” Khenner said. “I’ve always wanted to go UK and there’s one program is honestly amazing the teammates and everyone it just it just feels like home.”

And baseball’s Patrick Forbes’ message was simple.

“Go Cards,” Forbes said. “I’m excited for the next four years. And it’s a big dream of mine.”

Thefuture looks bright for these purples and their collegiate futures.
