Three Lady Toppers Earn WGCA All-American Honors
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A trio of WKU women’s golfers were named All-American Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) this week. Junior Sarah Arnold and freshmen Catie Craig and Faith Martin all earned the All-American honors for their work in the classroom throughout their collegiate careers.
The WGCA requires honorees to meet a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and compete in at least 50% of the school’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year, holding some of the most stringent All-American academic requirements in all of college athletics.
Arnold is a rising senior and currently holds a 3.68 cumulative GPA. She’s a sport management major with a minor in marketing. At the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, Arnold held a stroke average of 76.4, the third-best mark on the squad.
Martin is a rising sophomore with three semesters of college under her belt. She has a 3.90 GPA while majoring in exercise science. Martin competed in all 10 events for the Lady Toppers, totaling 29 rounds with a season stroke average of 78.8.
Rising sophomore Catie Craig holds a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA through her first year of college. She ended the season with a stroke average of 77.4. Craig is majoring in agriculture with a concentration in horticulture.
