Three Lady Gators soccer players ink national letters of intent
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Greenwood Lady Gators soccer made program history by winning the KHSAA state championship for the first time ever just a few weeks ago.
Three seniors played a major role in their title-winning season – Annabel Justice, Ellie Belcher and Anna Haddock.
Those three signed their national letters of intent this afternoon inside the school library to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Justice, who bossed the midfield for the Lady Gators and racked up 15 goals and 11 assists this season, committed to play at Centre College.
Belcher, a team captain and center back who found the net six times and added four assists in 2019, is staying home in Bowling Green and will suit up for Jason Neidell and WKU Soccer next fall.
Lastly, Haddock, the back-to-back Kentucky player of the year, scored an astonishing 54 goals and contributed elsewhere with 24 assists during her final season as a Lady Gator. Those numbers earned her a scholarship to play in the SEC at Auburn.
Haddock finished her illustrious preps career with 150 goals and 85 assists.
