Three distilleries open doors in Cave City

CAVE CITY, KY.- The ribbon was cut for three distilleries in Cave City: Dueling Grounds Distillery, Cave City Distillery, and MB Roland Distillery.

Dozens of visitors came out to the new location, where they got a taste of Kentucky bourbon, moonshine, and more. The distilleries are also offering tastings designed to attract tourists to the area.

“We’re entering our 10th year in Franklin, so expansion was perfectly timed for us,” said Marc Dottore, owner of Dueling Grounds Distillery. “Everybody’s been super nice. It means the world to me. You don’t want to go into a place where you’re fighting an uphill battle if they don’t want you there. But the business climate here is very friendly. They want investment. They want to be here. They want to work with us. So we want to be where they want us.”

The owners say the support extends beyond the local community.

“We’ve had a very positive response so far, with many community members thanking us for setting up here and showing strong support for the bourbon coming to the area,” said President Paul Tomaszewski.

This is just the beginning for these distilleries. News 40 will continue to bring you updates as the businesses grow and attract visitors to Cave City.
